As a result of my combination (mostly dry) skin, it's hard to find a product that is great as a spot treatment for ache without leaving unsightly dark spots. I had heard from a friend a few years ago that I could use TCP for pimples but never paid much attention, despite the fact that she had/has amazing skin. I think I was skeptical because I had mainly used it for cuts, scratches and insect bites. After being fed up last November with the dark spots I was experiencing from using products with Benzoyl Peroxide, I decided that I had nothing to lose so I went to the pharmacy and bought it.
PROs
- Love the fact that it has sulphur, which has been proven to fight acne.
- It dries my pimples (blackheads) without leaving scars
- Since it's an ointment, it's rich/creamy, so it doesn't dry your skin out.
- Does not clear acne very quickly. It usually takes 2-3 days to start noticing a difference.
- You might not like the smell...think sulphur mixed with dettol
I am currently on my 2nd tube; a little goes a long way.
I can see this being a staple for years to come especially since it has multiple uses.
Hope you'll try it and give me your feedback!
