June Music Favourites

It would be a deep understatement to say that music is my life. But since I can’t figure out another way to describe how exponentially important it is to me, then that will have to suffice.

I really don’t have a favourite genre, I listen to everything except Marilyn Manson-he freaks me out and it all depends on my mood.

However, over the past maybe two (2) years I’ve gotten disenchanted with current popular music and by extension music videos; everyone seems to be dying in a video, the video has nothing to do with the songs and sex is the key point. Plus, a lot of artistes that I used to truly love seems to be doing a complete 180 degree turn. Nevertheless it doesn’t mean that I DON’T listen to pop, I just basically skim through and if I like it, then I just do.

Anywhoo, on to the favourites…

  1. Bruno Mars- Count on Me

This song makes me smile! It’s so simple yet profound. I immediately think of a few people that I can truly count on as well as a few who can count on me.

2. Ron Pope-A Drop In the Ocean

I guess I'm on a folk/acoustic fix. But this song is so beautiful.

3. Bruno Mars- Talking to The Moon

I've been listening to his album and it's amazing. Believe the hype :)

4. The Swell Season- The Moon

Lol, another "moon song".

5. Britney Spears- Hold it Against Me

This one I mainly listen to at work. If I have to focus and meet a serious deadline this gets me going! And this just seems soo Britney to me!

6. Usher- u Got it Bad

This is probably my all time favourite from Usher. I just love this so much.

7. Bobby Valentino ft Lil Wayne- Tell Me

I love the vibe I get from this song.

8. Trey Songz- Can't Help But Wait

One of my all time favourite Trey songs.

9. Miranda Lambert- The House That Built Me

When I'm reflecting, I tend to listen to this song.

10 Vybz Kartel- Come Yah Nuh Mi Gyal

This is my favourite dancehall song at the moment. This is always playing in the bus and around town.

Well this concludes this edition of my music favs.

The next post should be a review on the new St. Ives Purify Exfoliating Body Wash, which I'm currently loving!
