Letting The Light In

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday and I got out of bed at 10:00am and did not relax until about 5pm. I spent the whole day sorting my book collection, dusting, and basically conducted a very early "Spring Clean". One of my missions for this year of the Dragon is to let the light in. Not literally the light but de-cluttering my home and space, with an aim of bringing positivity to my life. I want to uplift my being and truly be thankful for the small things and actually LIVE...not exist in this world.

Sometimes I feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders and I just want to LET IT GO!

I want to be more open, let things flow and smile more.

I don't want you to feel like I am a down-in-the dumps kind of girl but I do have my bad moods once to twice a month. I want to keep it to maybe 6 times for the year, because let's face it, life isn't perfect.

I want to actually post about how I feel about things...actually write. I am going to talk about life mixed with my cosmetic interests but bottom line, this blog should reflect ME and all my varied, complex and frivolous interests.

I started this blog because I missed writing and creativity now I am going to be more focused and just DO IT!

Now whenever I think of positivity and inner peace and just absolutely good stuff, I tend to think of my dream home. I am not sure why but I think it has some thing to do with the fact that your home is a personal space, it should be an abode from all the harshness of this world. It should like a blanket...comforting :)

Below are some images of my design/décor tastes and what I am dreaming of...

I love various architectural styles and one of my favourites is the Villa Style...I'm sure living in Jamaica has something to do with it :)
