Recent Pharmacy (Drugstore) Purchases #3

Like always I tend to get a rush from purchasing items at the pharmacy. It seems like no matter if I say that I am getting nothing-just looking-I usually DO.

This is what I purchased yesterday…

SDC11448

L-R: Annie Colouring Kit, Pumice Stone, Revlon hair dye, Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut Conditioner

The Colouring Kit has an applicator brush, a highlighting cap and a pick. I needed a pumice stone since I couldn’t find the one I have and I LOVE to give myself pedicures.

I am an absolute lover of moisturizing, creamy, fresh smelling conditioners but especially coconut for my unruly hair and Suave is my go to cheap product line.

Revlon Colorsilk #35 Vibrant Red up close

The dye was a spur of the moment purchase. I have been toying with the idea of dyeing my hair for AGES! I have NEVER dyed or highlighted my hair and I have been scared to do so for fear of major damage to my already crazy hair.

But this colour just was saying “Buy me, buy me” and after some deliberation, I took the plunge.

A hair post is coming VERY soon, stay tuned.

Recent Pharmacy (Drugstore) Purchases #2

Hi Everyone! I am really going to try to update regularly. Lately I’ve been busy and I’m currently feeling pain from my wisdom tooth popping up :(

But let me just get on with it…

From Left to Right:
St. Ives Mineral Therapy Moisturizing Body Wash- It has a sugary and clean smell yet it’s not overpowering. It leaves my skin moisturized and silky.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Long Last Shine Control Cleanser/Mask- I really like how this feels on my skin. It seems to working well so far.

St. Ives Naturally Indulgent Coconut Milk & Orchid Extract Lotion- It smells great and does the job!

China Glaze Nail Polish in “Tree Hugger”.

China Glaze Crackle Nail Polish in white.

Lip Ice Suncare Spf 25 Enriched Lipbalm- It tastes like citrus!

St. Ives Naturally Clear Pore Clearing Apricot Cleanser- This is less harsh than the apricot scrub.

More posts to come, which includes reviews.

Thanks for stopping by!

Recent Pharmacy (Drugstore) Purchases

I haven’t been blogging in a few weeks due to me being very busy at work and I also had to work at various locations in other parishes. But I’m glad to be back and I’ll just get on with the post!
Pic 087Going from left to right:
Jergens Age Defying Multi-Vitamin Moisturizer- I needed to get a plain unscented lotion, I got this one since it doesn’t smell strong and I tend to try different ranges in the Jergens line. This claims to have “an antioxidant blend of vitamins A, E & C” and is supposed to give me younger-looking skin. To be honest, I really don’t care if it gives me younger looking skin, I more concerned with it moisturizing my dry, sensitive skin and hope that it doesn’t irritate it.

Alberto V05 Moisture Milks Moisturizing Conditioner- It’s now officially summer and it’s been extremely hot and humid! Since I have curly hair, it can get dry in the summer so I tend to have to use lots more conditioner and wash my hair more often (I use the Curly Girl method). I love the smell of this (Strawberries & Cream with soy milk protein) and it’s CHEAP.

BiorĂ© Triple Action Astringent- My skin was irritated recently because I made the mistake of using Neutrogena On-The-Spot (I was pretty much out of my TCP). So since I still needed to fight blemishes in a non-abrasive/harsh way, I decided to repurchase the biorĂ©. I’ve used this a long time ago, can’t remember why I stopped using it…so far it’s been working.

Revlon Nail Enamel #110 Really Rosy- I’ve been wanting to try a Revlon nail polish for awhile and I loved this colour.

Garnier Fructis Fortifying Deep Conditioner 3 Minute Masque- I purchased this for the same reason I bought the V05…I needed a good deep conditioner to combat summer heat. This isn’t necessarily cheap but it’s much more affordable than any Giovanni deep conditioner.

Jordana Cosmetics Easyshine Glossy Lip Colour in #90 Pink Lemonade- This was cheap, smells and tastes good and is moisturizing. Not very pigmented on my lips, but it does show a slight tint.

Revlon Nail Enamel#478 Tuscan Sun- This one is very similar to #110 but it’s deeper and a bit coral.

Have you tried any of these products?
